Director of Narva College – Mrs Katri Raik, PhD

Katri Raik, PhD, is an Estonian historian and educationalist. She graduated University of Tartu as a historian and teacher of history and social science. Afterwards she worked on different positions in University of Tartu until 1999.

On 1999 she finished her masters study on Estonian history and started to work as a director of University of Tartu Narva College, where she stayed until 2007. She left the college for deputy chancellor position at Estonian Ministry of Education and Research. After two years of working as a deputy chancellor she returned to Narva College. On 2004 she finished her doctoral study.

On 2013 Katri Raik published her book called “Minu Narva. Kahe maailma vahel“. Katri says that Narva is not a vanishing place on Europe’s periphers. Narva is a proud and beautiful city where people speak many languages but think the same!
