.
ICC Estonia’s second birthday is being celebrated with the export conference “Make Trade Simple!” taking place in Narva on 5 – 6 June.
.
The con
ference is about how to make complicated issues simple and how the European Union’s border city helps you do so!
.
It is a practical conference for exporters, importers, lawyers, forwarders, etc., to open new possibilities and practices in the field of export transactions.
The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has worked out model agreements and a set of rules for commerce, which are based on good mercantile practice.
.
You can significantly improve the quality of export deals by using ICC tools – make transactions clearer, shorter and easier. That is “Make Trade Simple!” – a slogan that the ICC first  began using ten years ago, but has since been forgotten. Two years ago ICC Estonia adopted two years ago “Make Trade Simple!” as its slogan for the following three reasons:

  • ICC tools are not well-known in Estonia;
  • Estonia is facing significant evolution regarding the quality of transactions;
  • The right time – we need clarity and simplicity during hard times.

All of ICC Estonia’s foreign trade training has taken place under that slogan and an export conference in the European Union border city of Narva is the next logical step in the process. ICC Estonia’s initiative to revive “Make Trade Simple!” has found all-round support –  from ICC’s headquarters which is located in Paris. We are very happy that ICC Finland has also started to promote “Make Trade Simple!”.
.
The working language of the conference is Estonian, foreign presenters will speak in English. For English speaking participants, we will translate presentations that are in Estonian.
The conference is taking place at University of Tartu Narva College.
